This bank is a thrift institution which has been operating in the Washington DC Metro area since it opened in March 1985. It is a subsidiary of the Acacia Life Insurance Company. Acacia Federal runs its nationwide deposit operation and conducts regional loan production from one location in Falls Church, Virginia.

Acacia Federal has a checking account for you under its Choice Checking. You can use any of these whether you write checks to pay your bills or you use the convenience of online bill pay. The checking account also allows you to shop anywhere without having to write a check or use credit. Acacia Federal gives you free use of Visa Check Card for purchases at Visa merchants worldwide. They also cover foreign currency conversion fees. There is also free Online Banking and free Bill Pay Service.
