AIG Bank CD Rates
The AIG Bank CD rates are from a nationwide financial institution that was first chartered in 2000 to serve the American consumer and small business, along with AIG employees. This is one bank that does not require its CD customers to also have a savings or checking account to receive the best bank rates that are possible.
The following CD rates are available with their online banking service 24/7, if you wish to open an account with AIG. The 60 month CD has an interest rate of 2.87% and an APY of 2.91%. The 36 month CD has an interest rate of 2.27% and an APY of 2.30%. The 24 month CD has an interest rate of 1.89% and an APY of 1.91%. The 18 month CD has an interest rate of 1.59% and an APY of 1.60%. The 12 month CD has an interest rate of 1.48% and an APY of 1.49%. The 6 month CD has an interest rate of 1.05% and an APY of 1.06%.
The interest on each of these CDs is credited monthly to each account and statements are sent out every quarter. The minimum to open a CD at AIG is $2500. These rates were posted on July 8, 2010 and are still current as of July 15, 2010. At the present time, the FDIC will insure all deposits of $250,000 or less. On January 1, 2014, this amount is reduced to $100,000.
