With an Alliant Credit Union Savings Account, you can now earn 2.00% APY. This is advertised as seven times higher than the bank industries national average which was taken as 0.30% as of October 1, 2009.

The dividends can be paid out monthly as long as the account holder has a minimum of $100 in their account.

To open one of these high earning accounts, a person must be a member. To become a member you must be one of the following. You will be issued a convenience card to use once you have a savings account.

There is a $5 minimum deposit required when opening a savings account with this financial institution and there is no maximum amount that your account may be limited to. The savings account can be designated as a single, joint, single/joint with more than just one beneficiary or a living trust ownership account.
