American Express Clear Credit Card

Introduced on October 13, 2005, the American Express Clear Credit Card promised no fees of any kind, a generous and automatic rewards program along with valuable financial tools to help the account holder better manage their account.

It has almost been four years since this credit card was introduced. The card still has many of the same features it promised back when it was introduced. There are no annual fee, no late fees, no balance transfer fees, no over-limit fees and no cash advance fees just like when the card was introduced.

The rewards program is still automatic with a $25 branded shopping card delivered to your home each time you reach the $2500 spending trigger by making eligible purchases. There is still no limit to how many you can earn with no expiration period.

To help keep control of your financing, account holders are able to request a personal credit report on themselves every 12 months.

The introductory interest rate is at 0% for the first 6 months then as low as the prime rate +13.99%, depending on your personal credit rating.

To aid in your shopping assurance of the products you purchase, there is a one year extension of the manufacturer’s warranty on eligible purchases made in the U.S. that has an original warranty of 5 years or less.

Applying for the American Express Clear Credit Card is easy and available online with a 60 second response in most cases. The Bank Rates of this card are determined by your credit report after the 6 month introductory period.
