The Aurora Online Banking is a free service from this east coast bank. The easiest way to take advantage of it is with an Aurora Checking account. This can be accessed with the Online Banking services so you can move your money around, make investing decisions and earn interest. The minimum balance to earn interest with the Aurora Checking account is $1,000. The interest rate earned is currently at 0.84%.
The interest rates are compounded daily and posted monthly to the account. There is no monthly fee if the balance is at or above $500. The debit card is backed with the purchasing power of Visa and can be used across the nation at merchants and ATMs.
The savings account can also be accessed online. The interest rate is currently at 0.90% for balances over $1,000. To avoid the month fee a balance of $500 must be maintained at all times. The interest is compounded daily but posted monthly to the account. This account can be linked to the checking account as protection against overdraft occurrences.
The money Market Account has a interest bank rate of 0.96% for balance of$1,000 and 1.08% for balance above $100,000. You are permitted 6 withdraws a month with no penalty. To avoid the monthly fee the balance needs to be maintained at or above $1,000.
