Barclays Visa Black Card
If you are issued a Barclays Visa Black Card, then you are in the 1% of Americans that did so. This is a high end luxury credit card with many features that are not standard with most other credit cards on the market.
The reason given that only 1% of Americans can receive this card is so members will receive the attention necessary of this special group of people and the customer service representatives will not be overtaxed. One of the special services is a 24/7 Concierge service available only to card holders. No matter where you are, they will assist you in your travel plans and make all the necessary arrangements for you. This service is in part paid for by the $495 annual fee.
Other black card benefits include $250,000 worldwide travel insurance and $300 baggage delay insurance. The later one is at a rate of $100 a day for 3 days on any related expense due to your travel baggage not being delivered on time when you arrive at your destination.
There is also $1500 trip interruption or cancelation insurance that is covered with a qualifying event.
On purchases with this card there is a warranty manager service that doubles the warranty of all extended periods. This is limited up to one year extension
The purchase security is in place to replace or reimburse any eligible item in the first 90 days for a maximum of $500 due to specific covered reasons.
There is also a 0% interest on funds transferred to this account for new card holders for up to 6 months, but the bank rates for purchases and balances after 6 months is not disclosed.
The exclusive Barclays Visa Black Card is not for everyone, but it sure does look nice.
