Best Bank CD Rates at Zions Bank

While looking for the best bank CD rates we could find, we here at Online Banks Blog had to look at Zions Bank CD offers to see what they have for you.  There are two types of Zions Bank CD rates you’ll want to look over: the Ultimate CD and the Gold Ultimate CD.

These are both unusual certificates of deposit in that they do not have fixed interest rates, but are variable with their CD rates dependent on current U.S. Treasury note payouts for 2 year bonds.  This is unusual, but for the shorter term investor, it can be higher returns.  So these Zion Bank CD accounts are worth looking over right now.  They both have a $1,000 minimum deposit requirement and they both are compounded daily and pay quarterly.

The Ultimate CD rates are the lower of the two, but have no requirement that they be linked to another Zions account.  Terms are not fixed, so any term can be agreed upon on opening and CD rates are set according to balance in tiers from $1,000 to over $1 million.  $1,000 – $19,999 has an annual percentage yield (APY) of 0.35%, $20,000 – $99,999 yields 0.85% APY, and $100,000 – $249,999 yields 1.06% APY.

The Gold Ultimate must be link to another Zions account, but these best bank CD rates are probably worth it.  Like the Ultimate, the term is set at any length you choose and CD rates are based on deposit amount.  For $1,000 – $99,999 the return is 0.60% APY, for $20,000 – $99,999 it’s 1.11% APY, and for $100,000 – $249,999 it’s 1.31% APY.

Another feature of these accounts is unlimited depositing into the account while its active, so you can ad to it as you wish.

Both of these accounts are FDIC insured to the fullest extent of the law.  Zions Bank Cd rates are changing daily, or nearly, so if these certificate of deposit accounts interest you, don’t delay.
