Best Bank Rates – Chase Bank

We here at Online Banks Blog are doing a 3-part series on three popular national banks and what the best bank rates there are. Yesterday, we looked at Discover Bank best rates and today we’re going to look at the best bank rates at Chase Bank.

While Chase doesn’t have the best bank rates on everything, such as savings at 0.05% to 0.10% APY (for low balances), Chase Bank best rates are available on higher-balance savings, however, with balances over $50,000 yielding 0.75% APY (relationship rates).

Some of the best rates at Chase Bank are on certificates of deposit, with specials on several terms available. 13 months, for instance, gives 1.25% APY while 24 months returns 2.25% APY on some Chase Bank best rates CD specials.

Chase Money Market accounts are definitely not the best bank rates available at only 0.01-0.02% APY for all balances. Premier Checking accounts have 0.01% APY returns, which is about average nationally for this type of account.

One thing that Chase Bank best rates have are consistency, usually falling not at the top, but also not at the bottom for average national banks–generally in the top 1/3. So they aren’t as fickle as some who’ll be a top contender one month and a bottom rung the next.

Chase Bank best rates are easily found on their great online banking site too, which is another good bonus. Plus, besides best bank rates, you can usually find a Chase branch in most cities nation wide too.

Definitely worth a look, Chase Bank may not always have the best bank rates, but they are consistent.
