Starting with savings accounts, Discover Bank has an online savings account that offers a 2.00% annual percentage yield (APY) on all balances. That’s a highly competitive rate and one of the best rates at Discover Bank for an account with no strings.
A five year term CD gives one of the best bank rates nationally (that average is about 1.91% APY right now) for 3.50% APY and a 10-year term IRA CD has the best rates at Discover Bank of 3.75% APY. Both of these require a $2,500 minimum deposit to open.
Money Market offers are also good, with Discover Bank best rates of 1.75% APY on a $25,000 or higher balance.
While having competitive best bank rates, Discover Bank also has a nicely done online site with a lot of great services for those who like the convenience of online banking.
