Best High Yield Online Savings Account
Earlier this week I wrote an article about the FNBO Direct Online Savings Account in which I sung their praise. Well, it turns out that I am not the only one to think very highly of the FNBO Direct Online Savings Account. Kiplinger.com has just named FNBO Direct as the best online savings account.
Kiplinger.com discussed several features of that made FNBO Direct the best high yield online savings account. The first thing mentioned was the 3.50% APY savings account interest rates, but Kiplinger.com must have had outdated information. The FNBO Direct savings account rates are now 3.25% APY. This is still a great savings rate, but less than the 3.28% APY best savings account rates being paid at on the igobanking Online Savings Account.
The second feature highlighted was FNBO’s low minimum deposit requirement. The FNBO direct savings account, only requires a minimum deposit of $1 to open an account.
The thing I like best about FNBO Direct online banking is that its online savings account comes with an ATM card. This makes it very easy to get access to your money. This one feature alone might make me switch from my ING Direct Orange Savings Account to the FNBO online savings account.

Amazing that Kiplinger would give them such praise when there are other online banks that are even more competitive. I joined venturebankdirect.com and am currently earning 3.6%APY on savings. I’ve also heard rumor of an online checking account coming from Venture Bank Direct as well.
