This is from an institution that is a U.S.-based bank holding company that specializes in credit cards, home loans, auto loans, banking, and savings products. A member of the Fortune 500, it now has the 8th largest deposit portfolio in the U.S.

CapitalOne’s InterestPlus Online Savings is an online savings account that gives you 1.35% annual percentages yield. This is one of the best savings rates among the top national banks. The APY applies to account balances of $2500 and above. However, for balances less than $2500, the APY is 0.00%. The minimum deposit required to open is $2500.

With the InterestPlus Online Savings, you will be able to access your money securely and easily with free online transfers to and from your existing external bank accounts. Withdrawals by online transfer are limited to six per calendar month.  You can also rest easy knowing that fees do not apply to this savings account and is FDIC insured. Your account e-statements will be delivered exclusively through Online Banking. It is less mail for you to deal with every month.

The best part is that you get an extra quarterly bonus which will be equal to 10% of the interest earned on the account in the previous quarter. In order to be eligible to receive the bonus, your InterestPlus Online Savings account must be open, and you must either maintain an average monthly balance of at least $15,000 in the account every month during the previous quarter, or you must be an owner of an active Capital One Credit Card in good standing (not restricted, not over limit, and no past due), with at least one transaction per calendar month. The bonus will be paid to your InterestPlus Online Savings account within 4 to 8 weeks after the end of each quarter and will be reflected on your periodic statement. This account only gets electronic statements.
