This Citi Forward Credit Card Review is about the benefits and features of this card. The most beneficial and different feature this card has that other do not have is the ability for the account holder to reduce their interest that is acquired on purchases that are not paid off each month.
This APR reduction is simple. By not over spending, keeping your balance below your credit limit and paying your bill on time for 3 months in a row, your APR can be reduces up to 0.25%. This can occur up to 8 times for a total savings of 2.0% on your Apr. Other special features of this card is the reward of 100 points for each billing period when the account holder pays the bill on time and stays below their credit limit.
There is an additional 5 reward points for every dollar spent on books, movies, music, restaurants and one dollar on other purchases. There are a few places were reward points are not earned but not limited to warehouse clubs, department stores, discount stores and convenient stores.
The introductory APR is 0% for the first 6 months on purchases and balance transfers. After that periods ends the APY is increased to 14.24% and is variable. The rate is set by your credit worthiness and the prime rate. For the standard account the APY is the prime rate plus 10.99%. Cash advances are the prime rate plus 16.99% but never lower than 21.99%. The default APR is case you are late on a payment or commit another infraction with the agreement with Citibank the APR is the prime rate plus 23.99 or the prime rate plus 29.99%.
This account has a 20 day grace period in which payment must be received without any penalty being occurred.
