Citibank CD Rates Update
This Citibank CD Rates Update is current as of May 4, 2010. There is a tiered program but at present all of the rates are the same no matter how much you deposit. The minimum deposit is $500 for the purchase of any CD from Citibank.
The 5 year CD currently has an interest rate of 2.47% with an APY of 2.50%.The 4 year CD has an interest rate of 1.98% and an APY of 2.00%. The 4 year CD has an interest rate of 1.98% and an APY of 2.00%. The 3 year CD has an interest rate of 1.49% and an APY of 1.50%. The 2 ½ year CD has an interest rate of 1.14% and an APY of 1.15%. The 2 year CD has an interest rate of 1.00% and an APY of 1.01%. The 18 month CD has an interest rate of 1.00% and an APY of 1.01%. The 13 month CD has an interest rate of 1.00% and an APY of 1.01%. The 12 month CD has an interest rate of 0.80% and an APY of 0.80%. The 10, 9, 8 months CD’s have an interest rate of 0.50% and an APY of 0.50%. The 7 and 6 month CD have an interest rate of 0.35% and an APY of 0.35%. The 5 month CD has an interest rate of 0.30% and an APY of 0.30%. The 4 and 3 month CD’s have an interest rate of 0.25% and an APY of 0.25%.
On each of these CD’s the interest is paid on a monthly basis or at maturity for terms less than one year. All of these bank rates were posted on May 3, 2010 and were still current as of May 4, 2010. Part of this Citibank CD Rates Update is the notification upon renewal, which includes a 7 day grace period. If no action is taken by the investor in this time period, the CD will roll over into one with the same maturity term at the current rate.
