CItbank is one of the largest banks in the United States. Citibank has bank branches across the country and the Citibank online banking experience makes it one of the best online banks. Investing in certificates of deposits is one of my favorite ways to save money. As such,, this article will highlight the current Citibank CD rates.
Citibank offers many different terms on its certificates of deposit. You can buy a CD with a term as short as a 3 month CD all the way up to a 5 year CD. When you are looking for the best current CD rates, you need to check out all of the various terms of the certificates of deposits. The 3 month CD term might not be the highest current CD rates, but you might find out that the 6 month CD rates are great. It all depends on what time frame the bank wants to promote.
6 Month Citibank CD Rates
Of the current Citibank CD rates, the 6 month Citibank CD rates are currently at 3.50% APY. This is a very good 6 month CD. These 6 month CD rates offer a higher interest rates than most high interest savings accounts, but you don’t have to tie up your money for a long time.
CItibank CDs have a $500 minimum deposit. This is a nice low minimum deposit requirement. Anyone looking to purchase a bank certificate of deposit should have at least $500 to invest.
