Right now, the Citibank online banking savings account is definitely competitive with a huge 1.65% annual percentage yield (APY) and only a $100 minimum deposit to get started. This Ultimate Savings Account is only available from Citibank online banking, so you’ll need to open it online or by phone to get this deal. There are no other strings attached, though.
For money market savings, though, Citibank online banking savings account offers give a 1.50% APY for the Ultimate Money Account and all you need to do is use the free Online Bill Payment service monthly to retain the high rate.
Both of these offers are given through Citibank online banking and the interest rates are variable. Definitely worth a look, though!
