Cleveland Bank CD Rates

The best Cleveland Bank CD rates, unfortunately, are lower than what the credit unions in this area of the country are currently offering. But the advantage of using a bank is that anyone is eligible to open an account and some of the rates are still higher than the national average.

The Lorain Bank first received its state charter in 1905. In 1961, it received a national charter and today has 23 branch locations and 29 ATM machines in Lorain, eastern Erie, Western Cuyahoga, and Summit counties. This Cleveland area bank has several CD special rate offers to their customers. The 13 month CD has an APY of 1.15%. The 19 month CD has an APY of 1.50%. The 24 month CD has an APY of 1.65%. The 36 month CD has an APY of 2.25% and the 60 month CD has an APY of 3.00%. The minimum deposit is $1000. The rates were posted on June 7, 2010 and were still current as of June 8, 2010.

The Cleveland Bank first opened its doors in 1901 as the Triangle Bank. In 1904, the shareholders changed the name to the Cleveland Bank which has been used ever since. Their 6 month CD has an interest rate of 1.29% and an APY of 1.29%. The 1 year CD has an interest rate of 1.49% and an APY of 1.50%. These are two of the better Cleveland Bank CD rates currently available, but all rates are subject to change without notice.
