The BBVA Compass Online Banking service is from the leading bank in the Sunbelt region of the nation and the 15th largest in America. There are over 720 branch offices in Texas, Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Colorado and New Mexico.
Their online banking service is free to all of their customers with active accounts. With this free service customers can transfer money between their accounts, view their balances and transaction history including their CD’s and IRA’s.
Other services that are available via the internet with this online banking service are the viewing of account statements and view images of cleared checks. If desired an alert notification system can be connected to your accounts to warn you if a balance of an account is nearing depletion of fund or many other important changes and transaction pertaining to your accounts.
Online bill paying is another free service with this system. With this system you can designate a preferred payment account, sort payment history by individual payee and assign categories for payment to assist in budgeting.
This online system is compatible with Microsoft Money 2007, Quicken 2005 for windows and Quicken 2007 for Macintosh.
The only requirements to access your accounts via the internet are to have an account and use a web browser that features a 128 bit encryption system.
In January of 2010 there was a computer glitch that prevented customers from access their accounts via the internet. This was due to the system being upgrades on the previous weekend where something was missed. This has since been fixed and customer satisfaction has returned to its previous high level.
