Fifth Third Bank Certificate of Deposit (CD) Rates

Another popular bank we thought we should consider here at Online Banks Blog for its great offers are Fifth Third Bank CD rates. These are getting more popular and we thought we should check them out and give you the latest.

We’ll look at specials first, which have better annual percentage yields (APY) and no renewal requirements to get these great CD rates at Fifth Third. These special CDs do require a $5,000 minimum deposit to open, however.

The specials for Fifth Third Bank certificate deposit rates are on terms of 11, 15, 25, and 60 months. The 11 month term has a 1.35% APY, the 15 month has a 1.75% APY, the 24 month a 2.26% APY, and the 60 month a 3.00% APY. All of these also require a linked checking account at Fifth Third.

Standard CE rates at Fifth Third are on 7 to 89 day, 3 to 6 months, and so forth in ranges. Some of these are tiered by deposit, so we’ll assume the minimum is what’s being put in ($5,000) and show those rates. Higher deposits will give a higher yield, of course.

For a 7 to 89 day term, Fifth Third Bank CD rates are 0.20% APY, for 3 to 6 months they are 0.25% APY, for 6 to 12 months they are 0.35% APY, and for 12 to 24 months they are 0.55% APY.

Then CD rates at Fifth Third for 24 to 36 months are 0.80% APY, 36 to 48 months are 1.20% APY, 48 to 60 months at 1.30% APY, 60 to 84 months at 1.40% APY, and 84 months at 1.45% APY.

All of these rates are the best offered in Fifth Third Bank certificate of deposit rates right now. Of course, they change often and all accounts at Fifth Third Bank are FDIC insured.
