First Florida Credit Union

First Florida Credit Union has an online banking division called Seaboard. Both are from the financial institution that has been serving its members for over 60 years. This is a members owned cooperative which is how they have great rates of interest and low loan rates.

The First Florida CU has an online service for its customers also called the Vibe. The reason for the two different online options for banking is to serve their members the best possible way with the options the members have voted on.

The Vibe and Seaboard both allow for members to review account information and pay bills electronically. A member can apply for a loan or mortgage online and open a Shared Certificate. It is also possible to deposit a check with this online service.

The saving rates for both online banking services are the same.  The money market account with a minimum of $2,500 is an APY of 0.54. With a minimum of $25,000 the APY is 0.79% and for $50,000 or the more the rate is 0.89% APY.

The Savings account earns an APY of 0.40% for balance below $25,000. For those above $25,000 the APY is 0.75%.

There are 4 special Certificates being currently offered at both online banking sites. The 5 month SC earns an APY of 0.53%. The 13 month SC earns an APY of 1.04%. The 22 month SC earns an APY of 1.33% and the 45 month SC is currently earning 2.05% APY. Each of these shared certificates requires a minimum deposit amount of $1,000.

These are the current First Florida Credit Union bank rates as of October 6, 2010. All rates are subject to change without notice.
