One of the good short term banks is Fayetteville Bank. They have been serving Fayette and the surrounding area since 1917. Their current CD rates are for a 1 month the APY is 0.65%. The 3 month APY is at 1.01%. The 6 month APY is at 1.66%. The 12 month CD has an APY of 1.82% and the 18 month CD has an APY of 1.97%. To obtain these rates a minimum of $500 must be deposited. The Collin Bank in Texas also has good short term and medium term CD rates. Their 3 month CD has an APY of 1.00%. The 6 month CD has 1.25%. The 12 month CD has an APY of 1.50%. The 18 month CD has an APY of 1.75%. The 24 month CD has an APY of 2.15% and the 36 month CD has an APY of 2.35%. These rates were posted on June 15, 2010 and were still current as of July 5, 2010. The minimum deposit to obtain these rates is $1000.
The First State Bank in Texas has good long term rates. The 60 month CD has an APY of 3.04% and the 84 month CD has an APY of 3.80%. These do require a minimum deposit of $1000 to obtain the posted APY. The rates were posted on April 1, 2010 and were still current as of July 5, 2010.
