The Premier Money Market account rates are also set up in a tiered format. The minimum balance amounts are $1, $10,000, $25,000, $50,000, $75,000 and $100,000. The corresponding APYs are 0.35%, 0.60%, 0.60%, 0.70%, 0.70% and 0.80%. The minimum deposit to open this account is $10. To avoid the monthly service fee of $10, a balance of $10,000 must be maintained in the account.

All of these MMAs give you free access to the Sovereign Bank electronic banking services. This includes the ability to check your account balances and recent transactional history.  You will also have limited access to the electronic money management programs from Sovereign Bank . This includes the online bill paying program. The limitation is that only 6 transfers or payments are allowed each month. If you exceed that amount, your account will be assessed a penalty fee as set by the US federal regulations.
