In the actual money market category, Bank of Internet USA offers the best APY of 1.60% for a minimum investment of $100. New York-based Dollar Savings Direct offers an APY of 1.50% with a minimum deposit of $1,000. Ally Bank does not have any minimum deposit requirement and offers an APY of 1.49%.

Fort Lauderdale, Miami-based giantbank.com offers money market investment options with an APY of 1.41% and a minimum deposit of $1,000. AIG Bank offers an APY of 1.31% with a minimum deposit of $10,000.
