This is the Wells Fargo CD rates for the beginning of the August 2010. You can verify these rates with their online banking service provided by Wells Fargo on their website.
At the present time, they offer their customers 5 special rates on CDs. The special 9 month CD has an APY of 0.35% that renews as a 6 month term. The special 23 month CD has an APY of 0.90% that renews as a 12 month term. The special 33 month CD has an APY of 1.40% that renews as a 24 month term. The 45 special month CD has an APY of 1.90% that renews as a 36 month term, and the 58 special month CD has an APY of 2.40% that renews as a 48 month term.
Wells Fargo also has standard CDs for their customers to invest in. The 3 month CD has an APY of 0.10%. The 6 month CD has an APY of 0.15%, and the 1 year CD has an APY of 0.20%.
The minimum deposit for every CD is $5000. At the end of each term, each CD has a grace period of 7 days. If no action by the holder of the certificate is taken, then the deposit will automatically be reinvested in the same term CD, except for the special CDs their new terms are stated above.
These rates are set to expire August 6, 2010 according to the website, but these rates have not changed in over a month. Only the dates of eligibility of the Wells Fargo CD rates have changed each week.
